Frequently Asked Questions

The Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium is the nation’s premier industry conference dedicated to winery DTC sales and marketing. Content includes keynote speeches from thought leaders from outside of the wine industry. Other leaders from within the industry offer topical insights and practical workshop sessions that deliver actionable ideas. Plus, our tradeshow features the industry’s top suppliers. But perhaps the most valuable benefit is the chance for top-tier networking opportunities within our community.

There are several reasons. We are committed to providing the best experience for our attendees to help them improve their sales and marketing game and professional development. The move to Monterey will offer a more elevated experience for our dedicated attendees, and the Hyatt Regency provides more space to host more attendees and sponsors alike. We’re thrilled to be able to offer an even more dynamic conference in this new location and reach new audiences from new geographic areas along the way.

We are working on some new additions or expansions of the agenda we’ve previously enjoyed. This will include an opening night reception, an expanded trade show, and other new content and activities! We’ll be releasing more information as it is finalized.

We recognize and appreciate the travel commitment it takes to attend the Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium. Our move to this schedule allows attendees to arrive early on Tuesday, January 21, and enjoy an opening night reception hosted in concert with See Monterey. This will be a great networking opportunity that offers even more time to spend with our other sponsors. Wednesday, January 22, will provide a full day of content, learning, and networking opportunities. Then, on Thursday, January 23, we’ll wrap things up earlier to make travel planning easier.

We’re offering an “early bird” discount as in previous years. This year’s discount is deeper than in previous years, so you’ll want to take advantage before it expires on November 1, 2024. We will also have ticketing solutions for media and students.

Yes, we will honor a ticket shared with a colleague from your organization. If you can only attend one day of the conference, you can give your ticket to a co-worker to attend another day.

You sure will. After the conference ends, we’ll share all session presentation documents with attendees. We are currently assessing options for additional content access.

We understand situations may arise that are beyond your control, such as poor weather or flight disruptions that make timely travel difficult. However, because the conference is a fundraiser for the non-profit Free the Grapes! campaign, we are unable to offer refunds.

Yes! Check out our “Plan Your Trip” page, which includes information about nearby airports, relative drive times, and recommended hotel information.

DTCWS will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey. Attendees will receive a discounted room rate, which can be accessed during booking.
