Walter got his start in the hospitality industry as a Banquet Coordinator for large-scale private events. In 2012, he became a Tasting Room Manager and Event Coordinator at Danza del Sol Winery, where he oversaw bookings, wine club events, educational tours, and group visits. In 2019, Walter was named Director of Hospitality for Danza del Sol and Masia de la Vinya, where he oversees all aspects of the guest experience. He has achieved his Level 1 Sommelier and C.H.I.P. (Certified Hospitality Industry Professional) certifications. The recipient of two Xenia Spotlight on Service Awards and winner of the Xenia Service Star of Hospitality for 2023, Walter has delivered presentations at the 2023 and 2024 DTC Wine Symposium as well as the 2024 Tasting and Tap Room Expo.
